Classes

Intro to Dance                    

No previous training. Emphasis is on creative movement.

 

Ballet I-VI

Class will focus on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French terminology and musicality. 

Placement

Primarily an intermediate/advanced ballet class, Placement helps to hone technique such as placement and add to your current practice.



Pointe I-II

All pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.



Tap I-IV

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement.

Jazz I-IV

Our jazz classes teach basic jazz dance technique, terminology and style with an emphasis on proper technique, alignment and movement quality.

Contemporary I-II

Dancers in these classes will improve flexibility and coordination through fun, age appropriate movement and exercises. Modern and Contemporary Dance forms allow students to explore their individual dance style outside of the structure of traditional ballet and jazz classes.

Yoga                  

Instructed by Cristina Hipp. This yoga class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in a flow of postures linked together by the breath. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration.

 

Acting I-II                   

These courses introduce students to some of the fundamental skills and tools required for developing the acting process. In addition, students learn how to behave as a professional  actor as they demonstrate the focus and respect necessary in an acting class, on stage, or on set.


Musical Theatre   

Students will learn basic musical theater dance moves, basic vocal training, and learn basic acting and musical theater  performance techniques all in a fun, age appropriate way. We'll learn and perform songs and dances from a variety of genres and performances pieces.

Voice

Instructed by Jay Hale. Students will learn how to sing or develop existing talent and skill such as: breath control, proper vocalization, proper placement, performance training, audition technique and music theory. 



Piano
Instructed by Jay Hale. Lessons are custom-tailored to every individual student, taking into account their goals, personalities, learning tendencies, and physical capabilities.

 

Guitar

Instructed by Nathan Goff with many years of experience. Each lesson is designed on the level of the student's ability from beginner to advanced.

Dance

Private dance lessons in all levels and genres available.
